Hartenbos, Mossel Bay – CANSA’s (Cancer Association of South Africa) Southern Cape Karoo branch hosted their annual Cuppa for CANSA for the first time at the ATKV-Hartenbos Seafront. The Cuppa took place on Wednesday, 23 August.
This Cuppa was the ideal opportunity for young and old to socialise together. The uniqueness of the event is of course that the occasion had an Italian flavour. Traditional Lasagne and Sesame Street salad with crispy chicken breasts, feta cheese, stuffed Peppadews and Mozzarella cheese with an interesting citrus combination are just a few of the tasty dishes that were served to guests.
What made this event special, local singer, Rachus Muller, entertained the guests alongside guest speaker Melanie Pretorius. Pretorius has a passion for Cancer patients and survivors, recently she has herself conquered her own battle with Cancer. Her experience as a doctor is and remains a unique one, she shared an intimate and special testimony with the guests.
Where there is a Cuppa for CANSA, there is hope. This event celebrated cancer victories and memories of those who lost the battle.
