Due to unforeseen necessary maintenance and as recommended by a structural engineer, we were compelled to close the spa. The safety and wellbeing of our guests is always our top priority.
The biggest part of the work is out of sight and is on the supporting structure of the indoor swimming pool. The steel of the reinforced concrete walls has been damaged due to undetected water ingress.
During the closure of the spa other renovations will also take place, and when all is done, the spa will look as neat as the proverbial new pin. The floors and walls are newly tiled, the paintwork redone and new light fittings are installed.
The estimated time of completion is during June 2018, barring any unforeseen issues.
Eiland Spa management apologises for the closing of the spa, as well as any inconvenience caused. The staff at the resort are looking forward to the finished product with great expectations, knowing that it will offer our guests a complete new experience.
Warm Eiland Spa greetings
